Our Activities
Early Years Childcare (from 1.5 years) & Enrichment and Nourishment Programmes for (aged 5 years and up)
"The right thing at the right time"
Even though our external world appears to be speeding up, children’s developmental milestones have largely remained the same and should not be hurried.
At Tawan Sprouts, we respect the natural development of each child. Our Early Years Childcare programme creates a nurturing homelike environment that helps the young child ignites imagination and free, creative play. Through practical, hands-on activities, we encourage the healthy and holistic development of the child – physically, emotionally, and socially.
Our weekend and afterschool enrichment and nourishment programmes help balance the children’s academic school programmes through activities that nurture artistic expression and social capacities which reinforce the child’s analytical and creative abilities.
Art Classes
As part of our offering are our art-inspired classes, Tawan Sprouts also offers art classes designed for people of all ages. These classes go beyond traditional art education to integrate the Waldorf approach, emphasizing imagination, creativity, and a deep connection with the natural world. Through painting, drawing, sculpting, and crafting, you will explore your artistic talents while also developing your cognitive, emotional, and social skills in a supportive environment.
Individual art therapy classes are also available.
Holiday Camps
To enrich the journey of our young learners, we offer thematic holiday camps during school breaks. These camps are an extension of our domestic art-inspired curriculum, providing an immersive experience in various creative disciplines. Each camp is designed around a specific theme, allowing children to delve into projects that stimulate their creativity, curiosity, and love for the arts, all within the joyful and inclusive spirit of Waldorf education.
Parent & Child Programme
Our adult-accompanied programmes provide an opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn more about the intention behind Waldorf education and how to support our children’s healthy growth and development. We offer sessions where parents learn how to make crafts commonly found in a Waldorf classroom or home environment and ones where we are able to participate in the session alongside our little ones.

MarquiseTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Was recommended this nursery by Google and it was the best choice I could have made. My daughter ended up loving this nursery and made friends. Wish our stay was longer. Great environment and great staff. I visited here for the first time to talk with the teachers, and the second time we brought our kids to see the place. We decided to enroll our younger daughter here, she is 1.6 years old. She adapted herself very quickly to the other kids, the teachers, and the environment. What I love most here is the warm feeling of the place and the environment. The teachers are soft, caring, and kind. I would really recommend this place to parents, as so far I am very impressed with their professionalism. In just a few months they grown and developed their creativity and learned a lot of real life skills, while being in a warm, safe environment. It's especially good for little ones! They take such a warm and personal care of the kids. They use waldorf method so the kids have a lot of freedom and creativity. The teacher-kids ratio is perfect, 3 teachers for 5-8 kids. they prepare the food with the kids, do activities everyday, a lot of art, creations and singing/ story telling. It is located in a small peaceful neighborhood with some kids playgrounds around, so they try to go out everyday. I find the price very reasonable comparing to other private international nurseries, and for the hight value they bring :) Highly recommend! If you are looking for a nursery you should at least visit it, after visiting we were convinced :) Kate WangTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I found Tawan Sprouts randomly on Google as I was looking for a school to enroll my daughters (3 and 5) for 2.5 months while in Bangkok. Now, I wish more people know about it outside of finding it on Google! Geraldine, the director of the school, took time to speak to me about the school and its Waldorf philosophy - I have toured/visited many schools and have a background in education so I have a good sense of when someone is genuinely engaged in education vs for marketing tactics. Geraldine and her teachers really "get" education and caring for little minds. My girls have been in a wonderful Montessori school since they were little, and while Waldorf is a different philosophy, what remains the same between Tawan Sprouts and their school in the US is the kind, sincere, and loving care that the teachers provide to the students. I especially appreciated the Waldorf emphasis on natural materials, engaging with nature, and working with hands (sewing, baking, sensory play, cutting paper etc), and I saw a change in how my children played at home - there truly is magic in a handmade paper doll vs a store-bought one. They didn't need so many toys and could make their own - their worlds of imagination increased and grew richer and deeper. Learning in Waldorf is not linear, but you can see your children growing in their curiosity if you give them enough time :) Geraldine also took time to discuss schooling options with me in Bangkok, and her sympathetic and critical ear was so helpful. Thank you for providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for the girls, and we look forward to being back! 陳鈺瀅Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so grateful for this Waldorf education center; it gives us such peace of mind entrusting our child to the teachers. Every time we visit, we can see the children adapting to the new environment at their own pace. Our little one felt secure enough to take a nap on the very first day! The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, featuring lots of painting, crafts, and baking, along with outdoor walks—perfect for high-energy toddlers to burn off some steam. Located in a well-managed and secure Japanese-style community with incredibly patient and loving teachers, I highly recommend this place to any parents visiting or living in Bangkok. The place is peaceful, charming and very homely. I attended a pregnancy workshop to connect with my baby, using soft pastel, which was excellent. It was a very good art therapy session. What I liked most was that my son came home happy and looked forward to going back each day. The environment felt safe and welcoming, which gave me peace of mind. Overall, I’m very happy with the daycare and would recommend it to other parents. Margo MarsdenTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. We are so grateful for our daughter’s time at Tawan Sprouts this summer. The atmosphere was truly amazing—calm, nurturing, and inspiring. The teachers in the nursery were incredibly caring and thoughtful, always taking the time to understand each child and their unique needs. During just one month, my daughter blossomed in such a beautiful way. She became more creative, started noticing the little things around her, and developed a real appreciation for the nature walks and all the imaginative activities. I also loved how the teachers found an individual approach for every child, making her feel both seen and supported. She came home happy every day, excited to share her experiences, and she made wonderful new friends. We couldn’t have asked for a better summer experience. Thank you, Tawan Sprouts! But after just one month at Tawan Sprouts, we are truly amazed at the transformation we’ve seen in our son. The program emphasizes hands-on activities like cleaning dishes, gardening, outdoor play, picnic time, and daily routines that at first seemed simple — but they’ve had a tremendous impact. His listening skills have improved, his discipline has grown, and even his vocabulary and confidence in speaking have noticeably increased. Most importantly, he has enjoyed every single day here, and we’ve seen him flourish in ways we didn’t expect. The teachers deserve full credit for creating such a nurturing and holistic environment. Thank you to the entire team for taking such wonderful care of our son. Without a doubt, whenever there’s a holiday program, we will be sending him back again! Highly recommended to any parent who wants to see their child grow beyond the limits of conventional learning. Aisha KondoTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My son attended Tawan Sprouts between 1.5-2 years+ while we were in Bangkok. I highly recommend this daycare/ nursery for anyone looking for a calm, cosy, nurturing and low stimulating environment for your child. The school offers a high quality program that focuses on embracing nature through outdoor plays and picnics in the mornings; enjoying arts and music with lots of singing and instruments; developing motor skills through baking, cooking, painting, arts & craft, gardening and sand play. The kids help out with basic chores and preparing their own meals which are healthy and nutritious. My son made his own pizza from scratch in his first week, topped with basil leaves from the garden (farm to table style). The space is big enough for all sorts of activities and they even have a toddler wooden climber. The toys are wooden or made with wool etc. The teachers and management are very reliable and caring. The group size is small so they can pay special attention to each child. Teachers are gentle and kind even with daily things like sleeping and waking up the kids after nap time, where there is emphasis on rhythm and routine. The school also offers great holiday programs during Songkran, summer etc which helps the kids learn and appreciate different festivals. We noticed an acceleration in our son’s development- in terms of motor skills, speech, social skills, musical inclination when we started coming here. He was always so happy to go to Tawan, started singing and talked a lot about teachers and activities he did after school. Tawan Sprouts became an extended home for my son and it’s the place we miss most in Bangkok. We only wish that other children get to enjoy and benefit from it too.Google rating score: 5.0 of 5, based on 10 reviews

Frequently Asked Questions
Waldorf Education is based on a comprehensive understanding of human development and its curriculum is designed to reflect the three development phases of childhood and the period beyond – that of self-development and “self-education”.
With a focus on rhythm, reverence, and repetition, Waldorf’s unique approach is tailored to meet children at their developmental stage, encouraging personal growth and a deep connection to the world around them. This holistic and therapeutic education system prepares students to trust in their abilities and fulfil their potential.
Waldorf education distinguishes itself from traditional education through its holistic approach that emphasizes the development of a child’s intellectual, artistic, and practical skills in a harmonious and interconnected manner. Unlike conventional schooling, which often focuses on academic achievement and standardized testing, Waldorf education nurtures creativity, imagination, and emotional intelligence, stressing the importance of natural materials, hands-on learning, and the arts.
Teachers stay with the same class for multiple years to build strong, understanding relationships with their students, and the curriculum is tailored to match the developmental stages of the child, avoiding early academic pressure. This method seeks to cultivate well-rounded individuals who are capable of independent thinking and who have a deep appreciation for the world and their place within it, setting Waldorf apart in its fundamental values and educational outcomes.
